Universal Channel Interface

UCI middleware has been specifically designed to facilitate the incorporation of new channels at financial institutions, permitting the coexistence of numerous systems  when a institution is implementing a new system, but which during a time must coexist together with the old one.

Channel management
The need to increase the reach to the client with products and services, and at the same time reduce costs, has obligated financial institutions to search alternative channels to the traditional branch office. For products and services selling and distribution, is common the use of Kiosks, Self-services, Telephone Banking, Cellular Banking, Internet Banking, ATMs, Shared Customer Services Centre, Payment and online and batch transfer services, e-mail transactions, etc.  UCI allows the incorporation of these and others channels without the need of system modifications.

Coexistence and the parallel process
This function is specially useful in a coexistence process, when an institution is implementing a new system but which during  a time has to coexist with an old one. UCI from a unique transaction can router it simultaneously to the two systems  (new and old) sending first the answer of the old one and recording in a log the answer of the new one, which abilitates a parallel without the entrance of the transaction two times in two different systems.  Once checked that the answers are the same and that the time of the new one is within of the parameter expected, then with a simple command UCI is programmed so now on the official answer will be from the new system, maintaining simultaneous actualisation of the old one, so if necessary returned in any moment to this system.
